When taking high doses of nutrients such as B12, monitor blood levels, and use under the supervision of a qualified physician.

Side Effects

The most common side-effects of B12 supplements are:

• Itching
• Mild fever
• Stomach upset

Individuals who have recently undergone surgery for a coronary stent should avoid using B12.
