There are many. It is not necessarily which medications to avoid – but to be aware of.
There are some medications which are useful but if not monitored, they can contribute to significant side effects for the individual.
The partial list below is not stating they should be avoided entirely – but to be mindful and cautious:
- Folic acid
- NSAID’s (aspirin, advil, Tylenol..)
- Proton pump inhibitors
- High dose niacin (for cholesterol support)
- Birth control
- Estrogen (hormone support)
- Certain antibiotics (Bactrim, Trimethoprim)
