See Product Name Changes article for more product name changes or Your Guide to Seeking Health Supplement Names | June 2021 |
NADH + CoQ10 | Removed stevia, added monk fruit | Updated research on stevia showed it may lead to increased urination/dehydration, and caused Dr. Lynch to replace it with monk fruit. | June 2021 |
Gallbladder Nutrients CAPSULES | NEW PRODUCT:
Gallbladder Nutrients is replacing the powder, now in a capsule format. This new formula has improved source of the dandelion root extract and artichoke extract and replaced trimethylglycine with betaine HCL to help promote digestion. |

This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. |

Optimal Zinc Lozenge |
Now is called "Optimal Zinc Chewable" and the suggested use is to chew. | Seeking Health and Dr. Lynch thought it is best used as a chewable instead of a lozenge because it does not melt in the mouth very efficiently or comfortably. This product is absorbed the same as lozenge when it is chewed instead of melted. Note that the product itself has not changed, just the usage. | Aug 2020 |

Optimal Electrolyte |
"Plain" is not being called "Seltzer" flavor | Dr. Lynch felt that Seltzer described the refreshing tart flavor better than "plain". | Jan 2020 |
All products |
Removing % breakdown of forms of nutrients |
Formulation ratios will always remain the same and are available upon request. However, in order to streamline testing, we have chosen not to include individual % on the label (testing for the breakdown of nutrients is difficult and increases the time of testing, and therefore affects product inventory levels)
|
Jan 2020 |
All vitamin A - containing products |
Vitamin A will show the percentage breakdown of each form in supplement facts | FDA labeling requirement updates | Jan 2020 |
All lutein and Zeaxanthin-containing products |
The label claims for lutein and zeaxanthin have been removed, replaced with "marigold extract". |
Manufacturing records show sufficient marigold extract was used to meet the previous label claims for lutein and zeaxanthin. However, test results could not confirm this level at the time of manufacture. It is of the utmost importance to us that our test results for every single lot reflect our label claim. This is challenging to do as some ingredients pose more difficulties due to their complex nature. We are addressing this raw material issue for better consistency moving forward. We chose to change the lutein and zeaxanthin label claims versus removing them completely from these products. We know how important it is for you to maintain the consistency of ingredients.

Histamine Block |
Removed shellfish from “does not contain” list |
This product has never contained shellfish, nor does it now. This product contains shellac, which is derived from a secretion from the lac beetle. Beetles are genetically similar to shellfish as they are both from the phylum Arthropoda. Because of this similarity, a false positive comes up when the product is tested for shellfish allergen. Some research suggests that people who are allergic to shellfish could also be sensitive to beetles and other bugs. Industry trends point to not including shellfish in the “does not contain” section of bug-containing products, with some companies going as far as putting a statement on products saying, “Those with shellfish allergies may be sensitive or allergic to X (beetle).” According to our supplier, twenty years of experience with the product has not yielded a single complaint of shellfish sensitivity or allergy. With this in mind, we will not be including a statement on the product, but to protect Seeking Health in the case of a possible reaction, we will remove shellfish from the “does not contain” section of the labeling. | Fall 2019 |
All folate-containing products |
Folate is now measured in both mcg and Dietary Folate UNits (DFE) |
